For these reasons, we use commercial software and development tools wherever possible, avoiding Opensource and Shareware for all core applications.  Our Web Hosting Servers all run Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server.  We DO NOT use products such as Linux or MySQL.

Our hosting servers are all Dual Quad Core Xeon with at least 24GB of RAM and SCSI RAID.  The hardware we use is of the best possible quality, utilising SAS RAID 10 for performance and fault tolerance, redundant PSUs and ECC memory, providing the very best performance and near-100% uptime.

Data Security & Anti-hacking

We also take your data security very seriously, and use Military-strength firewall software to protect your website and associated data from hackers.  Our firewall software is used by companies where security is of utmost importance, such as defence agencies, financial institutions, and supermarkets .  It’s not cheap, but we think it’s worth every penny. In the 2 years that we have been running our current solution, we have not had a single incident of hacking or unauthorised access to our servers (despite literally thousands of attempts).
