Selling Successfully Online - A Case Study

Maison De Cadeaux, an online success storyMaisondecadeaux.com is an online shopping site built by Immediasite in November 2006.  The shop specialises in a range of high-quality branded jewellery and gifts.  Since the launch, the site has gone from strength to strength and now receives a constant flow of orders online.  

Unique Gifts and Charms

Maisondecadeaux.com proprietor Julie Harris had been considering launching an online business ever since reading about the decline in high street shopping.  Based in London, with its parking restrictions and congestion charges, she was convinced selling online was the way to go.  She chose an interesting range of quality jewellery and gift items to stock her online shop and asked Immediasite to build her website.  "I've been very impressed with the level of support I've had from Immediasite, not only whilst building the site, but ever since.  They really helped me get the site up and running and I'm now getting a steady flow of orders".

'Computer Illiterate'

Julie freely admits she has little interest in computers, describing herself as 'computer illiterate'.  Yet she still manages to successfully run her online shop and keep it updated with fresh content.  "The Immediasite system is really simple to use" she says, "which means you can easily look after your website, even if you've never used a computer that much before .  Adding new products and special offers and so on only takes a few minutes."  Sales have grown on average by 28% month on month. 

The next stage - email marketing

"Again, it's very simple to use" she adds, "and I'm hoping that by staying in touch with my customers regularly I can build a strong and loyal client base".
