Email Newsletters - Attracting new subscribers

Keeping your website legal

Our Latest Creations

Dear XXXfirstnameXXX,

Welcome to the Immediasite March Newsletter

Hello XXXfirstnameXXX, and welcome to Spring!  With the current warm sunny days and the clocks changing soon, we at Immediasite Towers are all looking forward to the summer and being able to sit in the pub garden after a long day in-front of our screens.

With the economy still dragging its heels, it's more important than ever to make an impact and stand above the crowd in order to win business, and as your website is your shop window to the world, it's important to make the right first impression, as quite often this is the first thing that a prospect will see of your company.

We've also noticed a change in the way that people use and view websites, and it's becoming far more like reading the Sunday paper.  They open multiple tabs and browse the "headlines" rather than opening one website at a time and reading it, so it's becoming more important than ever to make an instant impact that pulls the visitor into the site and makes them want to look further.

As such, a lot of the work that we have undertaken in the past few months (for existing Immediasite users, and non-users alike) is to provide a re-design and re-build service to give their sites a new, fresh feel and make them more inviting and compelling to visitors.  In fact, with one exception, all the examples you see in 'Our Latest Creations' section are existing websites with "facelifts and make-up".

Redesigning and refreshing.  In most cases, we've been asked to bring a tired, dated website up to date by giving it a vibrant and fresh new look.  Although it's the written content of a site that attracts the search engines, there's no denying the importance of good design to improve your conversion rate.  No matter how compelling and riveting your words may be, without a strong high-impact design you're unlikely to entice website visitors beyond the homepage.

Design vs content.  It's a common problem with older websites that are failing to draw new business:  as people become more accustomed to using the web, so they recognise if a site has not been updated in years.  A redesign can breathe new life into a tired site.  It's amazing what a difference this can make. One customer told us their sales have significantly increased since their new site went live last month - indeed several of their recent customers have specifically mentioned the website was the deciding factor when determining who would receive their business.

In this month's Newsletter...we'll be looking at the current laws concerning websites, and we'll also be continuing in our series on Email Marketing.
In last month's newsletter we discussed how to come up with ideas for your newsletter content; this month we offer some advice on how to attract and keep your  subscribers.  We've also included some interesting statistics (yes, there is such a thing...) which give you an idea on how effective a regular email newsletter can be.

Email Marketing - Attracting new subscribers to your email newsletter

Last month's article offered some tips and advice on what to write about.  This month we're sharing some ideas on how best to attract subscribers to your newsletter.  Remember these subscribers are the lifeblood of your business - the customers or prospects that will buy from you again and again provided they receive good service at a fair price.  The more you build your contact database, the more you build your business...

Legal Website Requirements - What you need to know to keep your website legal

There are a number of specific legal requirements your website should include.  We see plenty of sites that don't fulfil the correct legal criteria simply because the website owner is unaware of their existence. This article offers an overview of the information you need to include on your site to ensure you're ticking all the right boxes.
